Bria Mertens has served as Biocartis' General Counsel since April 2025. She is a seasoned healthcare and life sciences attorney with nearly two decades of experience.

Prior to this role, she was Vice President of Corporate Legal Affairs at Myriad Genetics, where she led complex transactions across commercial, R&D, and business development functions, and played a key role in shaping enterprise risk strategy within a highly regulated environment. With a foundation built at Am Law 50 firms and deep in-house experience spanning diagnostics, biotech, and precision medicine, Ms. Mertens brings a pragmatic, business-aligned approach to legal leadership—prioritizing clarity, speed, and operational value.

Ms. Mertens holds a BA from Rice University and a JD from University of Michigan Law School.
